Role overview

Join Veeam as a Lead Domain Engineering Specialist partnering with Customer Success Engineers and Account Executives to drive customer security outcomes across the Veeam Data Platform. You will work with CISO/CIO stakeholders to assess readiness, model data, and guide risk discussions tied to data resilience.

Key responsibilities

Collaborate with Customer Success and Account teams to improve customer security results.
Lead readiness checks, data modeling, and risk conversations with stakeholders.
Engage customers on Veeam platform security products, architectures, and risk topics.
Monitor telemetry and maturity using the Veeam Data Resilience Maturity Model.

Requirements

Strong technical understanding of Veeam products.
Experience engaging CISO/CIO/CDO stakeholders on AI risk, data governance, resilience, and enterprise AI adoption.
Hands-on experience in solution design, POCs, and maturity modeling (DRMM or similar maturity models a plus).
Familiarity with AI governance frameworks and regulatory landscapes, e.g. NIST AI RMF, EU AI Act, and ISO standards.
Hands-on experience with AI security/governance and emerging AI platforms (e.g., Securiti AI or similar such as AI-SPM, privacy automation, model governance, AI risk management frameworks).
Experience with AI/data observability, telemetry, and monitoring for traditional and AI workloads.
Working knowledge of AI/ML architectures and model lifecycles including training pipelines, deployment/inference controls, and security risks (prompt injection, data leakage, adversarial inputs).
5+ years engineering/architecting experience in cybersecurity, data security, or AI/ML-driven platforms.
Deep expertise in data security and governance, including DSPM and DLP, securing data across cloud, SaaS, and hybrid environments.
Strong communication and stakeholder management; ability to translate complex AI/security concepts into business outcomes.
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (CS/EE/Data Science or related); advanced degree preferred.

Certifications / nice-to-haves

VMCE certification (can be completed after joining).
Relevant security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISM (or equivalent).
AI security/governance/privacy/data governance certifications are strongly preferred.
