Role Overview
Lead and scale a distributed, remote-first engineering organization for hospital pharmacy intelligence products. You’ll influence technical decisions, build a high-performing engineering culture, and ensure predictable delivery of quality enterprise SaaS across multiple hospital systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead multiple product engineering teams building multi-tenant enterprise SaaS for hospital customers (own people, process, and outcomes)
- Build and sustain engineering culture: develop engineering managers, drive accountability, and create clear growth paths
- Partner with Product leadership to maintain technical health, manage delivery risk, and ship with quality and predictability
- Improve cross-team collaboration across engineering and internal platform teams (reuse, shared ownership, alignment)
- Mature engineering practices: planning, ADRs, documentation, quality, and engineering metrics (delivery, developer experience, reliability)
- Own and manage cloud infrastructure costs at team and product level
- Lead/support post-acquisition integrations: set standards, build trust, accelerate time-to-cohesion
- Participate in technical/architectural reviews and maintain a high bar across teams
Requirements
- 12+ years building enterprise SaaS products, with 5+ years leading engineering organizations through growth
- Proven leadership of distributed, remote-first teams (20+ people) through engineering managers
- Strong track record scaling organizations: hiring, manager development, career frameworks, and performance management with clarity and empathy
- Experience leading post-acquisition integrations and culture onboarding without losing what made teams effective
- “Strong operator” mindset: understand engineering metrics and fix delivery issues without micromanaging
- High-trust partnership skills with Product, Data, and DevOps peers; constructive navigation of tension
- Cloud cost management experience at scale; comfortable in AWS-first architectures
- High EQ and ability to lead through ambiguity; drive change and communicate “no” clearly and respectfully
Nice-to-Haves / Values
- Embodies values such as Get Stuff Done, Join Forces, Honor the Customer, Redefine Possible, and Have Fun
Benefits
- Flexible work schedule and remote working environment
- Professional development and career growth
- Collaborative, supportive culture
- Competitive salary and benefits; latest tools and technologies
- Work on impactful healthcare projects
