About the role

Role: Lead DevOps Engineer (100% Remote)

Lead and guide DevOps work to enable scalable, secure, and highly available deployments for Tether’s digital finance platform.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of DevOps specialists; promote best practices, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Dev, QA, and management to improve deployment quality, observability, and stability.
Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to proactively detect issues and maintain system health.
Design and manage end-to-end CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for rapid and reliable software delivery.
Build test-driven deployment systems, integrating automated testing at each stage to accelerate feedback loops.
Oversee server administration: configuration, monitoring, patching, and troubleshooting.
Stay current with industry trends and evaluate/integrate new DevOps tools and processes.

Requirements

7+ years in DevOps/Infrastructure roles, including 2–3+ years in a leadership/technical lead capacity.
Strong expertise in Docker: image creation, registry management, and orchestration patterns.
Hands-on experience with JavaScript package management and publishing workflows to NPM, including semantic versioning.
Deep expertise in Linux system administration and networking.

Experience automating mobile app build processes and related build/publishing automation.
