Lead DevOps Engineer (100% Remote)

Role Overview

Lead and guide a team of DevOps specialists at Tether, designing and operating secure, scalable infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and lead DevOps specialists; promote best practices, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Dev, QA, and Management to improve deployment quality, observability, and stability.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to proactively detect issues and maintain system health.
• Architect and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for rapid, reliable software delivery.
• Design test-driven deployment systems, integrating automated testing across stages to improve code quality and feedback loops.
• Oversee server administration: configuration, monitoring, patching, and troubleshooting.
• Stay current on industry trends and evaluate/integrate new DevOps tools and processes.

Requirements

• 7+ years in DevOps/Infrastructure roles, including 2–3 years in leadership or technical lead capacity.
• Deep expertise in Linux system administration and networking.
• Strong containerization skills: Docker image creation, registry management, and basic orchestration patterns.
• Hands-on experience with JavaScript package management and publishing workflows to NPM, including semantic versioning.

Nice-to-Haves (implied)

• Experience automating mobile app build processes and other release engineering workflows.
• Experience with advanced deployment/automation and tool evaluation in fast-moving product environments.
