Role Overview

Lead Developer (Remote)

You will be the first dedicated engineering hire for Llama Naturals’ internal platform. Own and grow the platform with real autonomy, working directly with the founder to turn business priorities into shipped production software.

Responsibilities

Ship production features across the full stack using Python, TypeScript/React, and SQL
Build and extend features using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code)
Maintain data pipelines and analytics layers
Own infrastructure, deployment, monitoring, and reliability
Partner directly with the founder to translate business needs into working software

Requirements

Engineering degree and strong programming fundamentals
Comfortable with Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, and SQL
Experience building or maintaining production web applications
Daily expert user of AI-assisted coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, etc.)
Strong understanding of how modern AI systems/LLMs work (no ML research required)
Self-directed, resourceful, fast learner
Professional English proficiency (written and spoken)
