Role overview

Lead Deployment Architect - AI (internally: Lead Deployment Architect) is the technical authority for Celonis strategic accounts within Celonis Services (the delivery engine of the customer organization). The role defines how Celonis solutions are designed, architected, and delivered across a portfolio of enterprise engagements, with a specific focus on deploying AI-augmented and agentic workflows at scale.

Responsibilities

Provide solution architecture and design support for complex enterprise deployments, covering multiple process areas, business units, and geographies.
Support pre-sales scoping by positioning the right Services aligned with the proposed Celonis solution architecture.
Define the technical blueprint for platform integration with customer systems, data strategies, and transformation goals.
Design secure and scalable architectures optimized for long-term usage growth and high concurrency.
Make architecture trade-off decisions (e.g., build vs. configure, custom vs. standard, phased vs. big-bang) with clear rationale tied to customer outcomes.
Own solution quality and outcome delivery by running design reviews and ensuring delivery teams follow architectural standards.
Drive AI orchestration and delivery innovation, including defining how AI deployment agents (Apollo) should be orchestrated for complex, multi-workstream engagements.
Bridge pre-sales to post-sales, ensuring promises can be delivered and shaping what is feasible/valuable.
Lead at the practice level by setting delivery patterns other teams follow and raising the bar with close collaboration with Deployment Engineers.

Strong ability to operate across the intersection of platform expertise, domain knowledge, and customer strategy.
Ability to lead technical design reviews and present transformation roadmaps to C-suite stakeholders.
Experience delivering secure, scalable enterprise architectures and guiding architecture standards across teams.

Experience with AI agent orchestration and AI-augmented delivery workflows.
Familiarity with enterprise data integration and transformation programs across multiple business units/regions.
