About the role

Role Overview

You will lead complex, business-critical data science projects at Faculty. As a Lead Data Scientist, you will set technical direction, design production-grade solutions, and mentor other data scientists.

Responsibilities

Set technical direction for complex projects, balancing trade-offs between speed, innovation, and reliability
Design and implement reliable, production-grade data science solutions
Ensure comprehensive documentation of architectures and specifications
Define project problems, develop clear roadmaps, and oversee end-to-end delivery across multi-disciplinary workstreams
Manage relationships with demanding clients
Mentor and develop other data scientists and contribute to organizational growth

Requirements

Ability to set technical direction and make effective trade-offs for business-critical work
Experience delivering reliable, production-grade solutions with strong documentation
Capability to lead roadmaps and end-to-end delivery across multidisciplinary teams
Client-facing relationship management skills

Prior experience mentoring and developing other data scientists
