Lead Analytics Engineer

Role Overview

Lead Analytics and AI Engineer (Permanent, FTE) — 100% Remote (EST hours)

You will lead the design and delivery of analytics and AI solutions, translating business needs into scalable data pipelines, models, and production-ready systems.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and convert problems into AI and analytics solutions
• Design and build scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows
• Write hands-on Python and SQL for pipelines, models, and supporting solutions
• Build and optimize analytics/AI solutions using Databricks
• Create documentation and technical requirements for offshore development teams, and guide offshore execution
• Improve data quality, performance, monitoring, and reliability across pipelines and platforms
• Support analytics, BI reporting, and AI initiatives using scalable data architecture

Requirements (Must-Haves)

• 5–10 years of US-based experience in data engineering/analytics engineering (or related)
• Strong hands-on Python and SQL
• Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines and data workflows
• Strong background in data engineering, data pipelines, and data warehousing
• Databricks experience delivering data and AI solutions
• Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Strong communication skills and comfort in a client-facing environment
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, Information Systems, or related

Nice-to-Haves

• AWS experience
• Experience with AI/ML tools or AI solution development
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow
• API-based ingestion and modern cloud data platforms
• Experience supporting near real-time analytics/reporting

Logistics & Compensation

• Start date: ASAP
• Location: Remote, working EST hours
• Base salary: $130,000–$150,000 (plus bonus)
