Role Overview

Downer’s Rosehill Asphalt Laboratory is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support asphalt and construction materials testing. The role is based at the Devon Street laboratory and includes both lab work and field testing alongside experienced technicians.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing of asphalt and construction materials
• Conduct field testing across civil and infrastructure projects
• Carry out nuclear density gauge testing
• Perform pavement coring and sample collection
• Maintain accurate testing records and results
• Work day and night shift rosters as required

Requirements

• Current P Licence (minimum)
• Positive attitude with willingness to learn
• Strong commitment to safety and quality
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Willingness to work outdoors and travel to project sites
• Previous construction materials testing experience is advantageous but not essential

Nice to Have

• Prior experience in construction materials testing
