Role Overview

Kubernetes Engineer (100% Remote) — contract opportunity. You will design, build, and operate Kubernetes clusters at scale, with strong emphasis on governance, security, and observability.

Key Responsibilities

Set up, build, and deploy Kubernetes clusters from scratch
Manage multi-cluster Kubernetes environments, assessing and operating clusters at scale
Implement and maintain Kubernetes governance controls, including:
- RBAC
- Network Policy
- Admission Controls
Provide platform observability using Prometheus and Grafana
Apply Kubernetes security/standards aligned with CIS Benchmarks
Use Python scripting to support automation and operations

Must-Haves

Strong Kubernetes expertise (ability to build/deploy clusters from scratch)
AWS deep hands-on experience (notably EKS preferred)
Multi-cluster Kubernetes operations at scale
Prometheus and Grafana observability experience
Kubernetes security standards using CIS Benchmarks
Python scripting

Nice-to-Haves

OpenShift
ECS / ECS Fargate
Istio (service mesh)
Experience in regulated or enterprise environments
