Role: Junior UI/UX Designer

Join STERRY’s team as a Junior UI/UX Designer supporting the full design lifecycle—from discovery to delivery. You’ll work with product leads and developers to create intuitive, high-impact user experiences using modern (including AI-assisted) design tools.

Responsibilities

Design support

• Create wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity prototypes for product features and improvements
• Design UI components that remain consistent across the product and the design system
• Use AI-assisted design tools to improve ideation and productivity
• Prepare and organize design assets for development with accurate documentation

Research & user testing

• Participate in user research (e.g., surveys, interviews, usability testing)
• Create personas, journey maps, and information architecture
• Analyze feedback and propose design improvements based on insights
• Conduct competitor analysis and track design trends

Collaboration & communication

• Partner with developers to ensure designs are feasible and align with technical specs
• Contribute in sprint sessions/brainstorming and present concepts to teams and stakeholders
• Clearly communicate design rationale and incorporate feedback

Documentation & handoff

• Maintain organized documentation and design specifications for development
• Ensure a smooth design handoff so implementation is accurate
• Update documentation as requirements change during development

Continuous learning

• Stay current on UI/UX trends and best practices
• Explore AI-driven design tools/workflows to improve efficiency and creativity
• Grow via feedback, mentorship, and training

Requirements

• 1–2 years of UI/UX design experience (internships and academic projects count)
• Strong user-centered design knowledge and ability to translate user needs into intuitive experiences
• Ability to create wireframes, mockups, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs
• Familiarity with user research methods and usability testing
• A relevant Bachelor’s degree is a plus, but a strong portfolio or hands-on experience is prioritized

Nice to have

• Experience working closely with developers on handoff and design systems
