Junior UI Developer

Role Overview

You’ll join a fully remote Agile team as a Junior UI Developer, supporting work for the EPA. Your focus will be stabilizing and enhancing legacy applications by building high-quality UI/UX improvements and helping deliver software tools for scientific use cases.

Responsibilities

• Perform QA testing using defined test cases
• Develop UI features using Nuxt3 and primarily coding to support senior staff and EPA federal teams
• Create and maintain documentation for projects, bug fixes, and client deliverables
• Communicate with customers and senior developers to design, plan, and refine large-scale projects
• Work effectively in an Agile/Scrum delivery model (standups, Jira boards, 2-week sprints)

Requirements

• 1–3 years of related professional IT experience (at least 1+ years)
• Strong communication (written and oral) with an ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to prioritize and meet critical deadlines
• Experience with Vue.js and Nuxt
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Tech Stack (as stated)

• Vue.js
• Nuxt / Nuxt3
• React / Next

Nice to Have

• Experience with Federal sector contracts
• Familiarity with DevOps and ITIL Agile processes
• Professional certifications

Security / Eligibility

• US citizenship required
• Must be able to obtain an EPA Public Trust Level 4 (NACI/T1 listed)

Location & Schedule

• Remote (any location / remote)
• 40 hours/week

Salary Range

• $69,700 – $94,300 (varies by experience, location, and other factors)
