Junior Software Engineer (TypeScript) — AI Quality & Testing
- Type: Contract
- Compensation: $30–$42/hour
- Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
- Location: Remote
Responsibilities
- Test and evaluate AI-driven web and mobile products, focusing on performance and robustness.
- Write clear, comprehensive test cases and document findings so issues are tracked and communicated.
- Contribute TypeScript code to support feature development, prototypes, and quality improvements.
- Identify, reproduce, and report bugs; collaborate with product and engineering teams to resolve issues.
- Analyze user feedback from social platforms to extract product insights and surface critical issues.
- Work cross-functionally across product, engineering, and operations to support product quality goals.
- Continuously probe edge cases to uncover potential weaknesses and improvement opportunities.
Requirements
- Strong years of software engineering experience and strong TypeScript proficiency.
- Portfolio of self-built projects (mandatory).
- Ability to read, understand, and contribute to diverse codebases.
- Software engineering background via a degree or equivalent project-based experience.
- Exposure to software testing practices and strong curiosity for finding product flaws.
- Excellent written and verbal communication for reporting and documenting issues.
Nice-to-Haves
- Interest in AI tools and technologies, especially video generation platforms.
