Role overview

As a Junior Software Engineer (Platform) at Semperis, you will design and build shared platform components, help architect distributed systems, and collaborate with cross-functional teams across product, DevOps, and architecture.

Key responsibilities

Design and build shared platform components used across multiple product teams, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
Architect distributed systems using microservices and event-driven patterns for enterprise-scale workloads.
Collaborate with product engineers, DevOps, and architects to define platform capabilities and technical standards.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to architectural decisions.

Requirements

1+ years of professional software engineering experience, with backend development expertise.
Demonstrated ability building enterprise SaaS applications for high-volume, multi-tenant environments.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to drive consensus across teams.
Experience developing shared libraries/frameworks/platform components consumed by multiple teams.
Production experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration in cloud environments (Azure/AWS/GCP preferred).
Proficiency in C# and .NET Core, including modern framework features and performance optimization.
Familiarity with Enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) domain.
Hands-on experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar message brokers.
Knowledge of Elasticsearch or other distributed search/analytics platforms.
Experience with observability (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, distributed tracing).
Background in API design and governance for platform services.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
Fluency in English (written and verbal).

Nice to have

Open-source contributions or experience maintaining shared component libraries.
