About the role

Role Overview

Junior Scrum Master (Remote) Support development teams in applying Scrum and Agile practices to improve delivery productivity and team performance. You will facilitate ceremonies, help maintain the product backlog, and remove obstacles that block progress.

Responsibilities

Coach development teams on the Scrum framework
Facilitate sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups
Help teams refine and maintain the product backlog
Resolve or help remove issues hindering team progress and performance
Use project/issue tracking tools (e.g., Atlassian Jira) to monitor scope and timelines

Requirements

2+ years of experience as a Scrum Master
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field
SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) Certification
Strong knowledge of Scrum and Agile frameworks
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA)
Familiarity with SAFe and Kanban
Proficiency with Microsoft Teams and other online collaboration tools
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
