Role overview

Junior Scrum Master (Remote Opportunity) supporting Agile software development teams and helping drive Scrum ceremonies, continuous improvement, and impediment removal.

Responsibilities

Lead Scrum events: Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives, Demos, and PI Planning
Build strong relationships to promote collaboration, transparency, and innovation across Agile teams
Identify and remove impediments that block team progress
Assist the Product Manager with effective backlog management, ensuring alignment with business goals
Drive continuous improvement by spotting process enhancements and applying Agile best practices

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
2+ years of professional experience in software development or related fields
Proven track record managing large-scale software development, data management, and system integration initiatives
Proficiency with Agile project management tools such as Jira or Trello
Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred qualifications

Experience with SAFe/Agile methodologies
SAFe/Agile/Scrum certifications
Experience working with the Department of Veterans Affairs or other Government agencies
Ability to obtain government clearance
