About the role
Role Overview
Join GuruSchools LLC as a Junior Scrum Master (0–2 years experience) on the Agile team. You’ll support Scrum teams by facilitating ceremonies, removing impediments, and helping ensure successful delivery while building hands-on experience with Scrum and Agile practices.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Support the Product Owner with product backlog management and prioritization
- Help the Scrum team follow Agile/Scrum best practices
- Identify and remove blockers impacting team productivity
- Track sprint progress and maintain Agile metrics/reports
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support timely delivery
- Promote continuous improvement and Agile principles within the team
- Assist with release planning and sprint execution
- Monitor project risks and escalate issues when necessary
- Prepare meeting notes, sprint reports, and other project documentation
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and release activities
Required Qualifications
- 0–2 years of experience (or knowledge) in Scrum/Agile environments
- Basic understanding of the Scrum framework and Agile methodologies
- Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams
- Basic project management knowledge
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting
Nice to Have
- Scrum certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent)
