About the role

Role Overview

Join GuruSchools LLC as a Junior Scrum Master (0–2 years experience) on the Agile team. You’ll support Scrum teams by facilitating ceremonies, removing impediments, and helping ensure successful delivery while building hands-on experience with Scrum and Agile practices.

Responsibilities

Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
Support the Product Owner with product backlog management and prioritization
Help the Scrum team follow Agile/Scrum best practices
Identify and remove blockers impacting team productivity
Track sprint progress and maintain Agile metrics/reports
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support timely delivery
Promote continuous improvement and Agile principles within the team
Assist with release planning and sprint execution
Monitor project risks and escalate issues when necessary
Prepare meeting notes, sprint reports, and other project documentation
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and release activities

Required Qualifications

0–2 years of experience (or knowledge) in Scrum/Agile environments
Basic understanding of the Scrum framework and Agile methodologies
Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams
Basic project management knowledge
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting

Nice to Have

Scrum certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent)
