Junior Python Developer (Remote)

Role Overview

Join Joveo’s production backend team as a Junior Python Developer. You’ll write real Python at scale—building APIs, services, and data pipelines—and grow with the guidance of senior Python engineers while working on a team that ships quickly.

Responsibilities

Develop Python backend services, REST APIs, and data processing code
Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability
Contribute to features from requirements through production deployment
Participate in design discussions and learn systems thinking
Fix production bugs and improve existing services for performance and clarity

Required Qualifications

1–2 years of hands-on Python development experience
Strong understanding of Python 3 idioms, OOP, and common standard library modules
Experience with at least one Python web framework (production or a project)
Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases
Familiarity with Git and code review practices / modern workflows
Ability to work independently on well-scoped tasks while knowing when to ask for help

Nice to Have

Interest in and willingness to deepen expertise in FastAPI, Django, or Flask
