Junior Product Owner - Commercial Payments - Optum Financial - Remote

Role Overview

Junior Product Owner for Optum’s Commercial Payments / payer payment platforms. You’ll help create and improve healthcare payment and communication products, using customer needs, KPI analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Own product execution for payer payment platforms; manage the product backlog for 1–2 Agile/Scrum teams
• Gather and analyze KPI/metric data to inform decisions, prioritize work, and recommend product actions and features
• Translate business capabilities into product requirements, operational processes, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across product management, development, design, operations, marketing, sales, and the business
• Prepare product documentation and support operations teams with product knowledge
• Use market and customer feedback to evaluate functionality and recommend deployment strategies and product direction
• Maintain an iterative deployment roadmap and connect business objectives to organizational KPIs
• Validate requirements via pilots; identify audience needs and share insights
• Define, track, and iterate on KPIs to measure product success; produce forecasts and risk assessments
• Manage deployment plans and impacts to KPIs; identify issues with builds/integrations and develop mitigation plans
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and differentiation opportunities

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with Healthcare Payments
• 2+ years of Product Owner experience

Remote / Location Policy

• Remote from anywhere within the U.S.
• For hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area: work in the office at least 4 days/week.
