Junior/Mid AI Legal Specialist (Full Remote - Germany)

Role Overview

EverAI is hiring a Junior/Mid AI Legal Specialist to join the Compliance Team. You will own legal and compliance workflows and projects, working closely with the Legal & Safety Lead. The role is designed as a generalist position across AI and e-commerce regulation topics.

Key Responsibilities

• Compliance ownership with worldwide laws applicable to AI and e-commerce platforms
• Manage compliance deliverables required under data protection law, including GDPR (e.g., DPAs, TIAs)
• Prepare and maintain required compliance documentation (e.g., data protection internal documentation, AI governance, consumer rights)
• Maintain and support EverAI’s AI systems inventory in line with EU guidance
• Perform risk assessments under applicable safety laws
• Support product and feature reviews (consumer rights, data protection compliance, etc.)
• Handle day-to-day compliance tasks such as:
  • Standard IP issues (e.g., DMCA notices, copycats)
  • Contract reviews (e.g., NDAs, licenses)
  • Updating legal terms (including TOS, Privacy Notices, and content policies)
  • Tracking and analyzing relevant legal/regulatory developments and guidance

Guidance & Collaboration

• Regular check-ins and guidance from the Legal & Safety Lead to clarify questions, co-develop recommendations based on research, and share insights.

Qualifications

Required

• Legal education (e.g., LLM/JD or recognized legal certification)
• 2–6 years of experience as legal counsel or a similar role (at least 2 years)

Required mindset

• Doer mindset and strong motivation to learn across a wide set of legal/compliance topics (not expected to have experience in every category).
