Junior Full Stack React/Node.js Developer

Role Overview

Junior Full Stack Developer for an Agile software development project supporting federal mission systems. You will work across requirements gathering, coding, and testing, collaborating with the team to resolve issues and communicate status, risks, and progress.

Responsibilities

• Develop software from requirements through implementation and testing
• Communicate project status, including issues and risks, to the team
• Collaborate with team members to identify root causes and resolve problems
• Pick up new technologies quickly in a fast-paced environment

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 1–3 years of professional full-stack development experience
• React (or related UI frameworks such as Angular)
• Node.js
• SQL and relational database experience, including PostgreSQL and/or DynamoDB
• AWS Cloud tooling
• Ability to understand complex business processes and how systems support them
• Strong problem-solving skills: research issues, identify root causes, recommend and implement solutions
• Good written and verbal communication
• Team collaboration to meet or exceed client needs and expectations

Preferred Skills

• Java
• AWS Lambda
• SPA concepts and libraries
• Agile and DevOps tooling (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Maven, Ansible, JUnit)
• ICE clearance preferred; USCIS/CBP or Top Secret clearance preferred; other DHS/government clearances
