Junior Full-Stack Developer (Laravel and VueJS)

Role overview

Junior Full-Stack Developer (Laravel and VueJS) at Appetiser. You will help build and maintain web applications and backend services, collaborate closely with designers and developers, and support reliable, high-quality releases.

Responsibilities

• Build responsive, high-quality websites using HTML and CSS
• Collaborate with designers and developers to create web apps and backend mobile solutions
• Coordinate cross-team launches (content + clear timelines and expectations)
• Improve site reliability by planning backup solutions
• Grow and maintain the website by expanding features and keeping content fresh
• Lead projects end-to-end when needed, including taking charge of a team
• Adapt quickly to new tasks and evolving priorities

Requirements

• Strong work ethic; takes ownership of learning
• Curious and eager to improve with openness to feedback
• Understands core programming fundamentals and can build real-world applications
• Some hands-on experience via school projects, internships, freelance work, or personal projects (web or mobile)
• Basic understanding of Git (version control)
• Writing clean, readable, maintainable code
• Basic knowledge of unit testing
• Understanding how APIs work (REST basics)
• Familiarity with Agile practices (Scrum or Kanban)
• Stable internet connection (minimum 30 Mbps download / 10 Mbps upload)
• Own laptop/desktop capable of development work

Nice-to-haves

• Backend: Laravel (v10+)
• Database fundamentals and basic SQL schema design
• Clean coding principles (e.g., SOLID)
• REST API testing familiarity (Postman, Insomnia)
• Exposure to deployment/cloud platforms like AWS
• Frontend: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
• Modern framework experience (Nuxt.js is a plus)
• Responsive design and reusable components
• Testing tools (Vitest, Cypress, Playwright) or TypeScript
