About the role

Role: Junior Full Stack Developer

Design, develop, and test applications for processing cargo records. You will support end-to-end software development for microservices-based JEE architecture applications and work within a collaborative Agile team.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test applications for cargo record processing
  • Support all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Build and maintain microservices JEE architecture applications
  • Work effectively in a large Agile development team
  • Use modern engineering tools and platforms to deliver features and services

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related engineering field
  • 2+ years of relevant technical experience
  • Proficiency in Java microservice architecture frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot)
  • At least 2 years of Java/JEE design and software development experience in enterprise systems
  • Experience with React, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Knowledge of provisioning, operating, and maintaining systems on AWS (or equivalent)
  • Experience with SQL, JDBC, Unix/Linux, and Kubernetes

Nice to have / Additional

  • Experience with containerization and Dev tooling (e.g., Docker, Eclipse, Git, Atlassian tools)
  • Ability to obtain and hold a public trust position

Work arrangement

  • Hybrid-remote: 2 days on-site per week (Washington, DC)
