Junior Data Scientist

Role Overview

Matricstek Inc. is seeking a Junior Data Scientist to analyze large datasets, build predictive/statistical models, and deliver actionable business insights. You’ll work with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to solve real-world problems using data-driven approaches.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and analyze structured and unstructured datasets
• Develop predictive and statistical models for business challenges
• Build and deploy ML/AI solutions
• Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate insights
• Perform data mining, trend analysis, and forecasting
• Collaborate with data engineers and software developers to optimize data pipelines
• Design experiments and evaluate model performance
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership
• Work with cloud platforms and big data technologies for scalable analytics

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field
• Strong proficiency in Python, R, or SQL
• Experience with ML frameworks: scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
• Knowledge of statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and data visualization
• Hands-on experience with Power BI, Tableau, or Excel
• Understanding of data structures, ETL processes, and database systems
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with NLP, Deep Learning, or Generative AI
• Knowledge of Spark, Hadoop, or other big data technologies
• Experience in Agile development environments
• Relevant certifications in AI/ML/Cloud
