Role Overview
Analytica is seeking a Junior Data Scientist to support a defense health mission-critical program. The role involves working with clients in a consulting/delivery capacity to tackle complex healthcare analytics problems and improve quality of care.
Responsibilities
- Work with military/veteran healthcare systems (e.g., DHA, VA) and support mission-driven care delivery
- Perform ETL, data wrangling, and exploratory data analysis (EDA)
- Build and evaluate ML algorithms, including use of time series predictive analytics for healthcare outcomes
- Design and deploy NLP and AI/ML models, including unit testing, performance validation, and post-deployment monitoring
- Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations using Python, Power BI, and/or Tableau
- Gather requirements with clinical and operational stakeholders and translate them into data-driven solutions
- Use version control (e.g., Git/GitLab) and maintain versioned documentation for compliance and reproducibility
- Execute quality control to ensure data integrity and reliable/optimized model and dashboard performance
- Produce documentation (business requirements, technical specifications, user training) and presentation materials for stakeholder communication
