Junior Brand Designer – Remote

Role Overview

Junior Brand Designer (Remote) to shape the visual identity of a new UK coffee roasting and events business. The brand should feel like vinyl listening bars and cafés, using a Scandinavian and Japanese-inspired aesthetic.

Responsibilities

• Develop a cohesive core illustration style to define the brand’s visual language
• Design a simple, memorable logo/wordmark
• Create a coffee bag or sleeve concept using the illustration style
• Optionally create supporting icons or graphic elements
• Collaborate to refine and finalize one cohesive concept
• Incorporate feedback and adapt designs to match the brand vision and target audience

Requirements

• Strong portfolio showing brand, illustration, and packaging design (ideally with music, café, or lifestyle work)
• Proficiency in illustration/graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop)
• Ability to interpret reference materials and translate them into a unique visual direction
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Understanding of Scandinavian and Japanese design aesthetics
• Attention to detail and a refined, minimalist branding approach
• Availability for an initial project with potential for future collaboration

Nice to Haves

• Prior experience in music, café, or lifestyle branding
• Comfort creating mascot/brand characters and cohesive brand systems
