Jr. Data Scientist

Role: Jr. Data Scientist

You will perform statistical analysis and build data-driven solutions by working with analysts, engineers, and cross-functional mission partners.

Responsibilities

• Conduct statistical analysis and data exploration to derive insights from complex datasets
• Support development and validation of predictive models to identify trends and patterns
• Contribute to AI/ML models and data-driven solutions
• Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to support decision-making and operational planning
• Help build and maintain data pipelines for collection, processing, and integration
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and cross-functional teams to improve data workflows
• Develop scripts/tools to automate repetitive tasks and improve efficiency
• Support initiatives to improve data quality, structure, and accessibility
• Apply basic experimental/analytical approaches to test ideas and evaluate outcomes
• Identify data gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities for optimization

Requirements

• 0–2 years of experience in data science, analytics, machine learning, or related technical fields
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related quantitative field
• Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, or similar
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
• Strong understanding of statistical techniques and modeling approaches
• Foundational knowledge of AI/ML concepts
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with cloud-based big data technologies
• Ability to explain technical findings to non-technical audiences
• Familiarity with intelligence analysis processes and mission requirements
• Experience with both structured and unstructured datasets
