Jr Data Scientist [82430]

Role Overview

Join a healthcare organization’s remote team as a Data Scientist on a temporary engagement (minimum 10 weeks, working 30+ hours/week). The role focuses on impactful analytics that support health programs and campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement efficient SQL queries to analyze clinical and operational data.
• Lead end-to-end data analysis projects, from business understanding to actionable insights.
• Work with diverse data sources to produce strategic recommendations for program improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build analytical tools and solutions.
• Communicate complex findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Proven SQL experience.
• Proficiency with Python or R for data analysis.
• Strong experience analyzing large datasets, including membership and medical claims data.
• Ability to develop and validate statistical models/algorithms.
• Knowledge of experimentation and inference methods, including A/B testing and causal inference.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly tell a data-driven story.

Nice to Have

• Experience deploying and maintaining recurring data workflows (orchestration, scheduling, monitoring, troubleshooting).
• Airflow experience, especially for reliable audience selection or claims-based targeting pipelines.
