Javascript Engineer

Role Overview

ForMotiv is seeking a JavaScript Engineer to build and evolve its JavaScript behavioral collection library and related tooling. You’ll work at the intersection of web and AI, collaborating directly with technology, data science, and management teams, and partnering with customers to solve real integration and troubleshooting problems.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Management, Solutions Engineers, and customers to understand customer web applications and enable integration of ForMotiv’s behavioral collection component.
• Assist customers with troubleshooting and problem resolution.
• Develop web technologies and applications that help customers understand and leverage behavioral AI and analytics data.
• Provide feature development and bug resolution for the JavaScript library and related technologies.
• Support pre-sales and post-sales activities, including building demos.
• Evaluate and test new technologies to enhance ForMotiv’s offerings.
• Perform performance and reliability testing.

Requirements

• 5+ years of JavaScript experience with multiple front-end frameworks.
• Ability to demonstrate experience across frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, Vue, Ember, Meteor, etc.).
• Strong mathematics and problem-solving skills.
• Customer-facing experience preferred (internal or external).
• Comfortable working with back-end APIs and building integrations.
• Database and SQL experience is a plus.
• Machine Learning / Data Science experience is a plus (not required).
• Self-motivated, proactive, organized, and eager to learn in a fast-paced, sometimes unstructured environment.

Nice-to-Haves / Preferred

• ML/Data Science background.
• SQL/database experience.
