About the role

Role Overview

Join Alignerr as a JavaScript Engineer (AI Training) to evaluate and improve AI-generated JavaScript. You’ll help ensure the code is correct, efficient, and aligned with modern ES6+ standards—with task-based work performed independently.

What You’ll Do

Review and evaluate AI-generated JavaScript code for:
- correctness
- efficiency
- adherence to modern ES6+ standards
Write high-quality solutions across difficulty levels, from utility functions to complex async logic
Find bugs, edge cases, and failure modes in AI-generated web and backend code
Explain code logic clearly and describe reasoning/problem-solving approaches
Provide structured, detailed feedback to help AI models generate more reliable code
Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule

Requirements

Deep familiarity with core JavaScript concepts, including:
- async/await
- closures
- prototypal inheritance
- DOM manipulation
3+ years hands-on experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Node.js, or Vue
Strong instincts for clean, readable, maintainable code
Detail-oriented and methodical approach to quality evaluation
Ability to articulate technical reasoning clearly in writing
CS degree preferred (experience prioritized)

Nice to Have

Experience with data labeling or RLHF / AI training workflows
Familiarity with TypeScript or modern JS toolchains (Webpack, Vite, ESLint)
Background in code review, technical writing, or software QA
Experience across both frontend and backend JavaScript environments

Contract & Logistics

Fully remote, flexible contract role
10–40 hours/week
Hourly freelance autonomy with onboarding and training provided
Potential for ongoing work and extension as projects continue
