About the role

Role Overview

Alignerr is hiring an experienced JavaScript Engineer (AI Training) to review and improve AI-generated JavaScript code. The role is fully remote and task-based, with 10–40 hours/week availability.

What You’ll Do

Review and evaluate AI-generated JavaScript for:
- correctness
- efficiency
- adherence to modern ES6+ standards
Write high-quality JavaScript solutions across varied difficulty levels (utility functions to complex async logic)
Identify bugs, edge cases, and failure modes in AI-generated code (web and backend)
Produce clear, human-readable explanations of logic and problem-solving approaches
Provide structured, detailed feedback to help AI models generate more reliable code
Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule

Requirements

Deep familiarity with core JavaScript concepts such as:
- async/await
- closures
- prototypal inheritance
- DOM manipulation
3+ years hands-on experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Node.js, or Vue
Strong instincts for clean, readable, maintainable code
Detail-oriented and methodical approach to evaluating code quality
Ability to articulate technical reasoning clearly in writing
CS degree preferred (experience prioritized)

Nice to Have

Experience with data labeling or RLHF and other AI training workflows
Familiarity with TypeScript and modern JS toolchains (Webpack, Vite, ESLint)
Background in code review, technical writing, or software quality assurance
Experience across both frontend and backend JavaScript environments

Contract Details

Hourly contract
Remote, flexible
10–40 hours/week
Potential for ongoing work and extension as new projects launch
