JavaScript Engineer (AI Code Review)

Job Type: Contract (flexible / project-based)
Location: Remote (United States)
Compensation: Up to $48/hr

Role Overview

Review, evaluate, and improve AI-generated JavaScript (and related TypeScript) code and explanations. Provide expert feedback, validate correctness, and help create training content and evaluation workflows for modern JavaScript development.

Responsibilities

  • Review and evaluate AI-generated JavaScript code and technical explanations for:
    • accuracy and correctness
    • reasoning quality and clarity
    • adherence to prompts and coding standards
    • performance and async behavior
  • Analyze step-by-step coding logic and identify errors (methodology, performance, async behavior, conceptual understanding).
  • Provide expert feedback to improve code quality, correctness, and software engineering practices.
  • Fact-check technical implementations and ensure alignment with prompts, standards, and best practices.
  • Produce high-quality JavaScript explanations, prompts, and model solutions.
  • Compare and rank multiple AI-generated responses by correctness, readability, efficiency, and contextual relevance.
  • Create training content for:
    • front-end and back-end
    • async programming
    • modern JavaScript development workflows
  • Test AI outputs for inconsistencies, edge cases, and reasoning gaps in JavaScript/TypeScript tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or closely related technical field).
  • Strong professional JavaScript experience with expertise in:
    • ES6+
    • closures
    • async/await
    • prototype inheritance
    • JavaScript event loop behavior
  • Experience evaluating code for correctness, readability, maintainability, performance, and edge cases in production.
  • Hands-on experience with code review, technical discussions, mentoring, or architecture evaluation.
  • Proficiency with modern frameworks/runtimes, e.g.:
    • React, Angular, or Vue.js; and/or
    • Node.js with Express or NestJS
  • Experience using LLMs/AI coding assistants with the ability to critically validate outputs and explanations.
  • Strong English communication and technical writing skills.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with TypeScript.
  • Experience with front-end/back-end integration.
  • Experience with bundlers/tooling such as Webpack, Vite, or Rollup.
  • Experience in AI data training or evaluation workflows.
