About the role

Role overview

Lead Full-Stack JavaScript Developer (Contentful CMS) for a UK investment manager. You’ll build and maintain full-stack digital experiences as part of a cross-functional squad, contributing to architecture, engineering best practices, and mentoring.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain full-stack applications using TypeScript, Next.js, Node.js, and React
Develop and maintain a design component library based on Figma designs
Deliver secure, tested, performant code
Own and improve automated testing strategy (unit, integration, e2e)
Contribute to CI/CD and deployment processes
Lead architectural planning and trade-off discussions
Provide coaching and mentoring to peers
Proactively support and improve existing applications
Work with Contentful CMS (content modelling and delivery APIs)

Requirements

Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js
Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and Lambda functions
Contentful CMS experience (content modelling and Delivery APIs)
Testing experience with Jest and Playwright
Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices principles
Comfortable working in an Agile, DevOps environment
Proficient with Git and CI/CD pipelines (preferably GitLab)
Solid HTML/CSS knowledge (Tailwind/SCSS) and web accessibility

Nice to have

MarTech experience (A/B testing, analytics, personalisation, tag management)
Experience deploying Next.js apps via Netlify
