About the role

Role overview

Title: Lead JavaScript Developer
Type: Long-term remote contract (W2 only; no C2C/third-party vendors)
Team/Context: Join the Digital Technology team inside a large enterprise environment supporting mission-critical warehouse and transportation management applications.
Core challenge: Re-platform/migrate a hybrid mobile application from Angular to Vue (you’ll be the lead driver for the migration due to limited in-house Angular expertise).

Key responsibilities

Migrate a hybrid mobile application from Angular to Vue.
Take holistic ownership of application areas: design, development, enhancement, performance, testing, deployment, and production support.
Simplify business logic and choose suitable architecture and best practices for scalable solutions.
Deliver end-to-end solutions from concept through production in an Agile environment.
Proactively identify system improvements, technical debt, and operational risks (not just respond to tickets).
Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, UX designers, and engineers to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives).
Provide mentoring/technical leadership and contribute to coding standards and architectural decisions.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with minimal disruption to daily operations.

Requirements

Strong hands-on front-end development experience with Vue/Nuxt (Svelte mentioned as additional experience).
Working familiarity with Docker, Git, and AWS in an enterprise environment.
Experience using Firestore or other real-time databases.
Proven experience developing and supporting production-grade enterprise applications.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with testing tools including Playwright and Vitest/Jest.
Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools (code generation/analysis) with strong emphasis on human review and validation.

Nice to have

Prior practical experience with Vue, Nuxt, and Angular (Angular is a plus; Nuxt is primary).
Prior migration/re-platforming experience (explicitly called out as a key strength).
