JavaScript Developer

Role Overview

Join a fully remote team supporting U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs solutions. You will develop and maintain reliable, scalable applications that support vital government functions, working in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain JavaScript applications using React 18, TypeScript, and RESTful APIs
• Build, test, and promote container images using Docker and Kubernetes
• Collaborate on CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment and testing
• Monitor application health and performance using Prometheus and Grafana
• Participate in code reviews, troubleshoot defects, and maintain documentation
• Integrate third-party services and support associated development tasks

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional JavaScript development experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
• Above-average experience with React 18, GitHub, Prometheus, and Grafana
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Harness, Nexus, SonarQube, HashiCorp Vault)
• Essential familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
• Solid understanding of RESTful API development and third-party integrations
• Agile development experience and experience supporting federal agencies (healthcare preferred)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in teams
• Security clearance requirements: ability to obtain/maintain Federal Civilian Public Trust; must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and have lived in the U.S. for at least 3 years
