Java Software Engineer (Remote)

BrothersTech is seeking a Java Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications for U.S.-based clients.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based enterprise applications
Build scalable microservices using Spring Boot
Develop and consume RESTful APIs
Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA, and DevOps teams
Write clean, maintainable, efficient code and follow coding standards
Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions
Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance
Integrate with databases, third-party APIs, and cloud services
Create technical documentation and unit test cases
Work in Agile/Scrum environments

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
5+ years of professional Java development
Strong experience with Java 8/11/17
Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Security
Experience building microservices-based architecture
Strong knowledge of RESTful Web Services
Experience with SQL databases (Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL)
Familiarity with NoSQL (MongoDB or Cassandra)
Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, and Jenkins
Strong OOP principles, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP**)
Docker and Kubernetes
Knowledge of Kafka or RabbitMQ
CI/CD pipeline experience
Familiarity with Terraform / Infrastructure as Code
Experience with highly scalable distributed systems
