Role Overview

Java Software Engineer (Contract) — Remote (10–40 hrs/week)

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Java and Spring Boot
Architect microservices to meet complex application requirements
Collaborate with the customer team to review technical specifications and deliver high-quality code
Improve performance, reliability, and security of applications
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
Document technical processes and solutions clearly
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend systems

Requirements

Expert proficiency in Java
Hands-on experience with Spring Boot
Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and design principles
Ability to write clean, maintainable, efficient code
Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
Experience collaborating with remote teams in a fast-paced environment
Solid understanding of REST APIs, data structures, and backend best practices
