About the role

Role Overview

Senior Software Engineer (Java) on the Product Technology team at Insights-Learning. You will design, develop, and deploy scalable software supporting the company’s educational platforms, working in an Agile environment with CI/CD and AWS.

Responsibilities

Design and build scalable, maintainable, high-performance software using Java
Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives)
Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, integration, and deployment
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate technical requirements into solutions
Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in coding and architecture
Perform thorough code reviews to maintain code quality and security
Document technical solutions, design patterns, and system configurations
Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements

Requirements

Java development background with 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
Strong understanding of cloud computing, especially AWS
Proven Agile teamwork experience
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or related field

Nice to Have

Microservices architecture experience
RESTful APIs
Containerization: Docker and Kubernetes
Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Java certifications)

Soft Skills

Strong problem-solving, excellent communication, and a collaborative mindset
