Role Overview

Java Developer (Contract) — Remote Help train next-generation AI systems by building backend capabilities that influence how models learn, reason, and perform using high-quality real-world input. No prior AI experience is required; domain expertise and engineering fundamentals are the focus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Java and Spring Boot
• Architect microservices to support complex application requirements
• Collaborate with the customer team to review specifications and deliver high-quality code
• Provide insights to improve application performance, reliability, and security
• Participate in code reviews and offer constructive feedback
• Document technical processes and solutions clearly
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend systems as needed

Required Qualifications

• Expert proficiency in Java
• Hands-on Spring Boot experience
• Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and design principles
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, efficient code
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
• Experience working with remote teams in fast-paced environments
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, data structures, and backend best practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Prior work on AI-driven or data-intensive projects
• Background in high-availability or distributed systems
