Java Developer | Remote

Role Overview

Crossing Hurdles is hiring a Java Developer for a remote contract role (10–40 hrs/week).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, efficient, and maintainable Java applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features and enhancements.
• Perform thorough code reviews to ensure best practices and high code quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues promptly.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and participate in system integration planning.
• Document technical designs, processes, and workflows clearly.

Requirements

• Expert-level proficiency in Java, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Solid experience with object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills (explain technical details to non-technical stakeholders).
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with distributed teams.
• Proven problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
• Familiar with Git (version control).
