About the role

Role Overview

Marathon TS is seeking a 100% remote Java Developer to build and support high-performing, scalable, enterprise-grade applications for a government contract.

Responsibilities

Contribute across all phases of the development lifecycle
Design and develop secure web services for internal and public use
Write well-designed, commented, efficient code
Ensure solutions comply with customer specifications
Prepare and produce software releases using Waterfall and Agile methodologies
Troubleshoot production operational issues
Support continuous improvement by researching alternatives/technologies and presenting them for architectural review

Requirements

4+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent)
Java 11+ hands-on software development experience
Object-oriented analysis/design using common design patterns
Secure web application development with JEE7+ (including EJB 3+ and CDI)
Front-end web development experience with JSF / PrimeFaces
Scalable, secure, access-controlled Java SOAP and REST APIs
JPA 2 / Hibernate, SQL, and Oracle experience
Spring Framework 4+ experience
JBoss EAP 7+ application server experience
Web apps using Spring MVC / Spring Web Flow
Git experience
Test-driven development
US Citizen required for contract eligibility (Public Trust preferred)

Education

BS/BA in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or equivalent (or equivalent experience)
