About the role

Role Overview

Kforce is seeking a Remote Java Developer to join a team working on a major management system and a transaction data team. The team is focused on retiring legacy systems and migrating services to a pricing engine.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain Java services for a transaction/pricing domain.
Support the migration from multiple retiring systems to a pricing engine.
Work on systems that manage transaction data and related order workflows.
Collaborate with stakeholders in a fast-paced Agile environment.
Strongly contribute to code quality, including the ability to review/critique AI-generated code.

Required Qualifications

4–7+ years of Java experience (Java 21+).
Springboot expertise.
Strong cloud capabilities.
Ability to communicate and collaborate with stakeholders in an Agile environment.
Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.

Nice-to-Haves

Understanding of AI concepts and experience working with/assessing AI-generated code.
Experience with the stated target architecture and data tooling:
- Elastic Search, Cassandra, GCP
- Mix of ML and data
