About the role

Role Overview

Join a client team as a Remote Java Developer. You’ll work on an internal-facing application that supports a supply-chain delivery workflow, helping associates create orders, move orders, and deliver products to consumers.

Responsibilities

Develop and enhance microservices across three core application phases:
- Order creation
- Order movement
- Product delivery
Build with a strong focus on functional programming, reactive programming, and cloud development.
Support delivery-oriented, internal tooling used by associates to manage consumer deliveries.

Requirements

Minimum 5+ years professional experience with Java (recently Java 17+ / Java 21+)
4+ years building Java-based microservices with Spring Boot
Reactive programming experience
Functional programming experience
Automated testing experience, including TDD
Some cloud experience (GCP preferred)

Nice-to-Haves

Experience with GCP and Kubernetes in cloud-native environments
