Role Overview
Java Developer supporting the maintenance, enhancement, and modernization of complex DoD enterprise applications.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and implement Java application code for enterprise systems.
- Troubleshoot complex issues in development environments.
- Collaborate with multi-site teams to identify, resolve, and test fixes for issues affecting new modules.
- Optimize and performance tune developed code.
- Work in an Agile Scrum environment.
Requirements
- Active DoD Secret clearance required.
- 10+ years of object-oriented development experience.
- 5+ years hands-on Java and J2EE development.
- 5+ years hands-on Oracle database design and development (includes PL/SQL).
- 5+ years full-stack application development with strong back-end architecture.
- Agile development experience.
- Experience with T-SQL & PL/SQL.
Frontend / Backend Skills
- JavaScript, HTML5, CSS
- AngularJS, React
- Bootstrap 4+
- Backend: Java 11+, Java Core
- JDBC, J2EE, Spring Framework/Spring Boot, Hibernate
- Backend database: Oracle 12+
Preferred Qualifications
- CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure).
- AWS Cloud experience.
- Version control (GitLab, GitBash).
- Maven build tools.
- Authentication/authorization: LDAP, OAuth, SAML.
- RESTful API development (including AWS API Gateway).
- DoD system development experience.
- Security+ certification.
