Java Developer

Role Overview

Build and maintain backend Java systems that produce real-world input used to train and evaluate next-generation AI models. The role designs scalable microservices and reliable APIs using Java and Spring Boot, working closely with engineering teams to ship production-ready backend components.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Java and Spring Boot to support AI data pipelines
• Architect and implement resilient, scalable, and secure microservices
• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and client engineering teams to align with project goals and technical specs
• Improve performance, reliability, and security of backend services with best practices and engineering insights
• Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and uphold coding standards
• Document technical designs, processes, and solutions for knowledge sharing
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend components for high availability and efficiency
• Stay current with industry trends and introduce innovative improvements

Requirements

• Expert proficiency in Java and strong object-oriented design fundamentals
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot for microservices and RESTful APIs
• Solid database knowledge across SQL and NoSQL, including data modeling
• Strong problem-solving and ability to troubleshoot complex backend issues
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork

Preferred / Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with AI or data-driven projects (not required)
• Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
