Java Developer

Role Overview

Build and maintain backend Java systems that produce real-world input used to train and evaluate next-generation AI models. You’ll design scalable microservices and reliable APIs using Java and Spring Boot, partnering with engineering teams to deliver production-ready backend components.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems (Java, Spring Boot) for AI data collection and processing workflows.
• Architect and implement microservices with high availability, fault tolerance, and security.
• Collaborate with client engineering teams to review specifications and align with project goals.
• Contribute to performance optimization, security improvements, and reliability enhancements.
• Participate in code reviews and follow best coding practices.
• Document technical designs, processes, and solutions.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend systems to reduce downtime.
• Stay current with industry trends and incorporate best practices.

Requirements

• Expert proficiency in Java and strong object-oriented design principles.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot for scalable microservices.
• Solid knowledge of RESTful API development and integrations.
• Database experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar.
• Strong problem-solving and ability to troubleshoot complex backend issues.
• Excellent communication skills for documentation and cross-functional collaboration.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or related field (advanced degree a plus).

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes (containerization and orchestration).
