Java Developer

Role Overview

As a Java Developer, you will help build and execute the company’s technology strategy roadmap by designing, developing, and maintaining software systems and applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and debug new and existing software systems/applications
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis and design
• Conduct software design discussions and translate user needs into technical requirements
• Prototype, refine, test, and debug programs in consultation with end users
• Create technical specifications from conceptual designs and business requirements
• Serve as a technical expert on development projects
• Identify and evaluate new technologies for potential implementation
• Create and maintain documentation (software functionality, planning, evaluations, budgeting, feedback, improvements)
• Provide estimates, budgets, project flow updates, and manage meeting expectations
• Reduce risk via risk mitigation planning and keeping projects on track
• Manage user requirements and provide timely project updates
• Analyze code to diagnose errors and revise programs as needed
• Provide feedback for performance appraisals of team members

Requirements

• 7+ years overall IT experience
• 8+ years experience as a Java Developer
• Experience with user interface design
• Knowledge of performance testing frameworks including Mocha and Jest
• Strong troubleshooting skills

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
