Java Developer

Role Overview

Java Developer (Remote) responsible for designing, developing, and supporting enterprise applications for child support systems across the full software development life cycle.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support software throughout the SDLC for child supports systems
• Collaborate with the project team to ensure timely, high-quality enterprise delivery
• Plan and estimate development work for assigned tasks
• Transform requirements into working, maintainable enterprise solutions
• Perform detailed application design as needed
• Provide leadership/mentorship to other team members to deliver systems on schedule
• Coordinate and resolve production issues; work with Production Support teams
• Ensure clear and concise Q&A with Production Support teams

Required Experience / Skills

• 6+ years with Java technologies
• 6+ years database-driven, multi-tier software development
• 6 years with at least two major databases (prefers Oracle and MS SQL Server)
• Java 11
• JPA
• Apache (web/app server components implied)
• Tomcat
• Eclipse
• Maven and Ant build tools
• Bamboo (CI)
• Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring MVC (REST), Spring Cloud
• Jasper Reports
• Jira, Bitbucket, Artifactory, Gradle, Flyway, Docker
• Frontend basics: HTML, CSS, XML, JSON, JavaScript, Angular
• Microservices using Spring Boot and Docker images
• Deploy microservices to Kubernetes clusters
• Consume and publish SOAP and REST web services
• Write complex database queries for Oracle and SQL Server
• Linux commands and shell scripting
• Strong OO analysis/design/programming skills
• Experience with latest software development lifecycle methodologies
• Interpersonal skills to interface with onshore project managers, clients, and internal stakeholders

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of child support payments processing domain
