Java Developer (Core Java)

Role overview

You will help grow, maintain, and support real-time foreign exchange trading applications. The work involves delivering new features, ensuring correctness with testing, troubleshooting production issues, and optimizing performance.

Responsibilities

Implement new features according to specifications
Write and maintain unit tests
Troubleshoot and resolve application issues
Identify and address performance bottlenecks
Work on low-level aspects of performance (e.g., minimizing GC impact)

Requirements

3+ years of working experience
Strong Core Java (Java SE) expertise
Proficiency with multithreading, locking, and collections performance
Deep understanding of low-level coding and performance tuning, including avoiding garbage-collection issues
Experience in trading technology, such as:
- Implementing venue FIX protocol adapters
- Automated trading and smart order routing algorithms
Excellent communication skills (oral, written, presentation)
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering (ideally from an accredited university)

Location / work authorization

Full-time REMOTE, but must be currently located in the United States
Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer without visa transfer
