Compensation: $30–$80/hour
Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
Location: Remote (United States)

Java Developer for hourly contract work (remote), supporting the design and delivery of secure, scalable backend services.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring.
Build secure, scalable, high-performance backend services and APIs.
Collaborate with architects, product teams, and QA engineers to deliver integrated solutions.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend systems for reliability and performance.
Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code.
Communicate technical concepts and updates with distributed/remote teams.

Strong professional Java backend experience.
Hands-on expertise with Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem.
Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and backend design principles.
Experience building scalable enterprise-grade applications.
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
